100k in 100 Days

Today is the start of Sally Quilford's 100k in 100 days challenge. The event runs from January 1st to April 9th and challenges entrants to write 100,000 words over those 100 days. A mere 1,000 words each day.

You can find out more and sign up on Sally's Blog or the Facebook Event page.

While this challenge is a lower daily target than NaNoWriMo, it's a challenge to really test a writer's stamina. Every single day for 100 days. Right up through to April. When you think about it, it's actually quite a mountain to climb, and right now I'm stood at the very bottom just packing my sandwiches.

You can follow my progress over the next 100 days by checking my little progress bar on the left. Who else is taking part? I think we're going to need each other's support over the next few months!

  5. Hmm... even though I promised myself never to sign up for draft deadline blogfests, I'm finding myself tempted by this one.

But I can't. The next six months are dedicated to my WiP edits. I want to be done with it. :-)

    Good luck!

  7. Good luck! You're ambitious. My goal is 1,000 words a day...but I have a sneaky suspicion that I won't keep it up for 100 days. :)
